The San Fernando Valley JACL held its annual holiday party on Dec. 12 at the San Fernando Valley Japanese American Community Center in Pacoima. Santa Claus (Stan Rivera), pictured with Kai Kushida Gonzalez, paid a visit and gave gifts to all good little boys and girls.

Kids acted out a “Mele Kalikimaka” song as chapter members sang and played guitar.

Kids and adults learned a folk dance with some complicated steps.

A pin?ata filled with candy got whacked. The event also included a buffet dinner and a toy exchange.
